I want to foster a grateful heart and remember the Lord’s many benefits and gifts to me each day. Starting today, I’m going to join Ann Voskamp’s One Thousand Gifts and start counting.
103 Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s

Psalm 103: 1-5
Let the counting begin.
1. I am so grateful for my security and salvation found in Christ alone.
2. I’m thankful for the gift of prayer and that I can cry out to the Lord anytime, night or day.
3. The Lord is never too busy to hear me.

One Thousand Gifts was given to me over a year ago, but of late I have had a difficult time putting it into practice. When I look at all of the stuff that has happened in my life this past 7 months,I have a hard time writing anything. I have picked it back up this past week, and am re-reading it. Perhaps I need to hunt down my little notebook....
I started my book of "gifts" several months ago, and how it reminds me of every single blessing and praise there is in every day! I always look forward to recording every miracle and gift daily and when I reach 1,000 I will
start all over again! :)
There is so much to thank God for!
Love and blessings,
Denise
